The Delago-Goller
family

Silvia and Sebald, with daughters Eva and Sofia

As soon as you cross the threshold of the Arbea Apartments in Bulla/Pufels, you’ll be wrapped by an extraordinary, refined, romantic and very cosy atmosphere with a very special artistic touch.

Lots of apartments and holiday homes in Ortisei and in entire Val Gardena are decorated with handicraft objects and wood carvings, but those of Arbea radiate a very particular charm. Probably because they have been created with love and passion by the landlady, Silvia, a professional wood sculptor, who has inherited this craft from her father. In her studio called SilviArt she carries on the family traditions with a spirit of research and innovation, capturing in her carvings, with incredible veracity, not only lines and shapes but also characters and emotions. Her sophisticated artistic taste is perceived in the entire house: from decorations up to interior design, created mainly by Silvia herself.

But the family’s passion for art goes far beyond. The Delago-Gollers are closely tied to music and singing. For many years now Silvia has been making part of the female quartet “De cater”, while Sebald is a choral conductor. When, in the morning, a gentle melody lingers in his studio, drifting sometimes into the hallway, it’s Sebald preparing for a concert. The elder daughter Eva also shares the passion for singing and playing the piano, while little Sofia is more attracted by Styrian accordion, in addition to singing of course.

Perhaps it’s the scent of wood mixed with gentle melodies that gives birth to that particular feeling of wellbeing that reigns in the Arbea Apartments. Because art is a universal language that speaks directly to the heart…
